Troon Village

Troon Village is comprised of a dozen high-end neighborhoods encircling Troon Mountain in much-desired North Scottsdale, Troon Village is a warm and welcoming master-planned community that offers an ample mix of dwellings from town-homes and condos to custom-built stunners, all nestled amongst the lush high desert flora and rocky outcroppings typical of the area.

Troon Village homes have long maintained their appeal and held their value, thanks in part to their North Scottsdale location and the golf course’s well-established reputation as one of the finest in the country.

Troon Village is a perfect landing place for seasonal visitors, families and solo homeowners alike.

While a good portion of the houses here are second homes belonging to seasonal visitors — many of whom spend about half the year in the Midwest or Canada — Troon Village is also home to a good number of families (the community is served by the Cave Creek Unified School District), empty-nesters and solo homeowners alike. Residents of all ages appreciate the abundance of retail shops and recreational opportunities close-at-hand, not to mention the plethora of meal-time options ranging from fine-dining restaurants to casual and fast-food eateries.

There is a variety of 1,300 luxury homes ranging from lock-and-leave townhomes to multi-million-dollar estates. These luxury homes are sprinkled throughout these 1,400 acres start in the $300,000s and prices can run into the multi-millions. Some of the neighborhoods are gated — like Windy Walk Estates, Ballantrae Ridge and Troon Mountain — and some are not. Like other communities in this part of the Northeast Valley, Troon Village sits a bit higher than Phoenix at an elevation of about 2,400 to 2,800 feet, affording residents ever-so-slightly cooler temperatures along with sweeping views of the Valley, the nearby McDowell Mountains, the ancient spires of Pinnacle Peak plus a nighttime sea of glittering city lights.

Golf and other outdoor recreational opportunities play an important role in the lifestyle you can expect in Troon Village. Whether you’re a full-time resident or seasonal visitor, it’s easy to think of Troon Village as the ideal desert getaway. It is, after all, the kind of place where you can easily escape the daily routine; there’s no traffic congestion and no hectic pace. So why not grab the golf clubs or swimsuit and head over to the Club?

As one might suspect, golf is pretty important around these parts. The member-owned Troon Golf and Country Club is proud to be the first golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf — who snagged the 1973 Open Championship at Royal Troon, the development’s Scottish namesake and inspiration — and Jay Morrish. What’s more, the course is a certified Audubon Sanctuary, a designation given to sites recognized for outstanding environmental quality. Troon Village residents have the option to become members of the Club which also has tennis courts, a heated pool, a fitness center and several eateries.

Residents can expect to enjoy the views as well as the sense of community among neighbors. With smaller neighborhoods all adjacent to each other, it’s easy to meet new friends within Troon Village. The Club, with all its activities and robust social calendar, makes getting together even easier.
