Along with close proximity to freeway access for business commuters and students, this newly revitalized, diverse and family-friendly area offers affordable housing and an unbeatable lifestyle.

While many of the residents have lived in the area for several decades, more and more business professionals and adult college students are choosing South Scottsdale as their home.

Following demolition of South Scottsdale’s Los Arcos Mall and other once-popular but now outdated strip malls in the community, the area has seen much improvement including the addition of Arizona State University’s SkySong high-tech campus plus major employers such as HonorHealth and General Dynamics. Thanks to these and other high-dollar renovations — including the addition of new business, entertainment and retail shopping centers — residents of South Scottsdale have seen an increase in home values in the area.

Not far away, the eclectic art gallery and shopping district of Fifth Avenue in Old Town Scottsdale will lure shoppers of all ages who appreciate high-end Native American jewelry and unique gifts. Award-winning restaurants — along with wine bars, lounges and nightclubs — line North Scottsdale Road and are in walking or biking distance for many South Scottsdale residents. Meanwhile, residents and visitors of all ages will enjoy spending an afternoon at the nearby Scottsdale Public Library, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Butterfly Wonderland.
